Wande coal left MAVIN records in June 2013 but he officially left the label after a PRESS RELEASE yesterday. I tried to contact Wande about this story but he decided not to reply instead he stylishly diverted the topic..well, i assumed my story is true and i can publish since he neither approve nor reject the story.

Having Wande coal on dbanj’s record label will be an embarrassment to DON JAZZY who lost the both of them. Not Over Yet !! ASUU Gives FG Final Condition Before They End The Strike

It is not yet over, as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has given the Government conditions to be met before the union would finally call off its over four-month old strike.

    “I must tell you that our mandate remains. The only mandate we have is that 2009 agreement must be met. We have not reached any agreement with the Federal Government.

    “Since the Federal Government wants to be releasing N220bn every year for five years, then all monetary and regulatory agencies must sign.... The reason we will ensure this is that we don’t want argument tomorrow that the agreement was entered in error or that they don’t know the implication of signing the agreement. Today, I commend Nigeria's Golden Eaglets for their well deserved victory at the FIFA Under-17 World Soccer tournament in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, UAE. The players played with great skill and projected the Nigerian can do spirit and the end result is that Nigeria is now a four time champion. This could not have come at a better time seeing as Nigeria is on the cusp of celebrating our centenary as a nation. In February this year, the Super Eagles won the African Cup of Nations and now our youths are today the world’s champions. This is no fluke. It is no coincidence. It is a reaffirmation of what I have always known; that excellence is a Nigerian habit. I believe Nigerians are poised to extend this habit to every facet of our national life. Falsified accounts of a recent incident at the Grotto club on Sunday have made the rounds. Davido’s Management hereby wishes to clear the air on them with the statement below.

After a successful outing at a recent concert on Sunday November 3 at Eko Hotels, popular musician Davido headed to the Grotto Nightclub on Victoria Island. After a brief stay at the club, Davido and his crew proceeded to his vehicle outside to head home. Upon entering the vehicle, he realized that his ATM card was missing. ALAS!!! Outcome of FG & ASUU meeting: FG to give varsities N1.1tn in 5yrs

Very late Monday night November 4th, President Jonathan met with officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over the on-going strike. After the meeting, ASUU officials said they would relay the outcome of the meeting later this week after consulting with other members of their board. The Union has not made an official statement yet but Punch is reporting that a key component of the agreement reached by the parties after the meeting was that the Federal Government would  inject N1.1trillion into public universities in the next five years.

They said the federal government would release N220billion yearly into the sector beginning from 2014. For the outgoing year, the government will only release N100bn and this has been processed.

 

They also said the strike would be called off anytime next week. Halleluyah!

ASUU Warns FG Against Forced Re-opening Of Universities

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has flayed alleged plans by the Federal Government to forcefully order the re-opening of the universities today, saying this will only complicate the situation.
Speaking on the issue, chairperson of the University of Port Harcourt chapter of ASUU, Professor Anthonia Okerengwo, urged the Federal Government to toe the path of honour in its effort towards resolving the lingering strike.
Professor Okerengwo in a statement said: “Arm twisting has never worked as a dispute resolution strategy. It is unacceptable to the union that while the President has invited the union leadership for a dialogue, some overzealous assistants to the president are clandestinely working to jeopardise the process.
