The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Borno State has said that
two of its members at an Internally Displaced Persons camp in Borno
state died over the weekend from shock and trauma they suffered during
Boko Haram attacks in their communities recently. Their death was made
known by the coordinator of the Church of the Brethren (EYN) camp, Mr.
Daniel Ali Garga yesterday May 11th 2015.
He said the two persons were suspected to be having psychiatric
problems, adding that they had been admitted at the Federal Neuro
Psychiatric Hospital. He gave the names of those who died recently of
cardiac arrest as Daniel Kadagha (47), who is survived by six children
and Mrs. Tani Dughwadza (68).
"“They were treated and discharged of the trauma and shock they had,
after they were attacked and displaced from their communities by Boko
Haram early this year,” he said.
He added that seven internally displaced persons passed away a week ago
at the State Specialist Hospital, Maiduguri after battling with heart
related and kidney related illnesses.
“We lost two IDPs on Saturday in my camp making a total of nine deaths recorded so far. May their souls rest in perfect peace,” Garga said.
