Islamic Terrorist Group Al-Shabab Bomb Somalia Capital

An explosion occurred in Waaberi district located in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu on Sunday. Terrorist group, Al-Shabab, have claimed responsibility for the attack.

Al Jazeera reports that the source of the explosion was a suicide bomber, who reportedly “rammed a car laden with explosives into a pickup truck.” More pics after the cut...

Seven Boko Haram members die in explosive-laden van in Borno

Seven Boko Haram members were killed after explosives placed in a van exploded at the Chikwarki market in Biu, Borno state on Monday December 29th.
"A Toyota pick-up van, loaded with maize and beans with IED hidden under them, belonging to Boko Haram insurgents, exploded near Chikwarkir village of Biu, killing all the occupants of the van. As you know, it is harvest time and people are taking their farm produce to the market; but thank God, the bomb exploded before they could get to the market,” a security source told Punch

Terrorist Group, ISIS in Nigeria to Recruit Fighters - NOA

 
The agents of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), are presently scouting Nigeria for fighters.
This development was communicated by the Director General and Coordinator National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri, who urged the public to remain vigilant and expose any of such activities.

This was disclosed in a statement made available by David Akoji, the Special Assistant to Omeri, who revealed that recent intelligence reports indicate that three South Africans were among fighters recently recruited by ISIS agents.

Update on Gombe Bomb blast yesterday: 19 Dead, 25 Injured

The Police in Gombe have confirmed that 19 people died and 25 others sustained injuries during a bomb blast that occurred at Dukku motor park, Gombe, on Monday. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Fwaji Atajri, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Gombe.

Atajri said the police had taken the injured persons to the hospital and deposited the corpses at the mortuary. “There were security checks at the park but it was unfortunate that the perpetuators were able to penetrate. “We are calling on the general public with useful information on the blast to inform the police and to also report any unusual movement in their areas for prompt action.

Breaking News: Explosion rocks Bauchi state Central market

Many people died today after a bomb went off at the Central market in Bauchi state, few hours after a bomb explosion ripped a motor park in Gombe state killing at least 20 people. The bomb happened around 5.30pm. Number of casualties is unknown at this time. More details later.

Not Again! Bomb blast in Gombe motor park, 15 people reported dead

At least 15 people have been confirmed dead after a bomb went off at the Dukku motor park in Gombe state this morning Dec. 22nd. The blast occurred around 11am when passengers traveling for the Christmas holiday were in the park.

Suicide bombing: 2 female students escape lynching in Minna

Two female students barely escaped being lynched after being suspected to be suicide bombers. The incident occurred at the Minna Jumma’at Central Mosque on Friday, December 19. The students are undergraduates of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna. According to eyewitnesses, the ladies arrived the mosque premises when prayer was about to commence and they resisted attempts to search their bags.

The students, who were wearing their hijab,were suspected to be female suicide bombers by members of the public. Their refusal prompted bystanders to start beating them, until policemen who were on guard around the area intervened, and saved them from lynching.

185 women and children reportedly abducted in Borno state

According to a CNN breaking news, 185 women and children were kidnapped by Boko Haram men during a raid on Gumsuri village 20km from Chibok in Borno state on Sunday December 14th. Men were shot, homes were burnt and women taken away. This is the largest rounding up of women and children since the abduction of Chibok girls in April 2014.

32 people including the Chief Imam of the village were killed. Leaders of the opposition vigilante were also killed. Word of the attack was slow to emerge due to the destruction of telecoms towers in the community. Nigerian military are yet to react to this latest attack. But how do these terrorists take 185 people away? They come with many vehicles?

Boko Haram kill 32 in Borno, kidnap scores

Suspected members of Boko Haram killed 32 people and kidnapped many others in an attack on Gumsuri village in Borno state on Sunday December 14th.
According to AFP, two Borno state officials who confirmed the attack said the villagers were still counting those abducted and that the figure could pass 100 and included women and children.
"After killing our youths, the insurgents have taken away our wives and daughters," said Mukhtar Buba, who fled Gumsuri to the Borno state capital Maiduguri.

Graphic video: Boko Haram executes young men who refused to join them

Just saw this horrific video on LiveLeak.com that I'm sure will give me nightmares for days. It shows Boko Haram men executing young men - allegedly - because they refused to join them. According to the site, the video was filmed sometime in November in Northern Nigeria. The militants pick the men up one after the other, shoot them on the head at close range and toss their body in a river under a bridge. If you have the heart, then watch - here

Update on Pakistani Pry school massacre, 126 now dead, siege ends

Pakistani military has ended today's early morning siege by Islamic terror group, the Taliban, on a military run school in Peshawar, a Northwestern city in Pakistan. 126 people, including 84 children have been confirmed dead. OMG! Taliban raid Pakistan primary school, kill 80 children [photo]

Islamic terror group, the Taliban, around 10 this morning launched a deadly attack on a military-run primary school in Northwestern city of Peshawar in Pakistan, killing 100 people, 80 of them children, according to the BBC. They are also reportedly holding over 100 children hostage. Over 500 students have so far been evacuated.

According to reports, the militants stormed the school's auditorium this morning where the students were learning first aid training from the military and started shooting.

A 30 year old mother cut off her son's sex organ in Manengole, Nkongsamba, in Cameroon. The poor innocent 3 year old child named Njankep Alexandre is presently in a protestant hospital in Ndoungue under intensive care while the mother is in jail awaiting trial. Boko Haram victim in search of his wife and seven children [photo]

A 40 year old identified as Matthew Zira, (pictured above) says he's searching for his wife and seven children after members of Boko haram invaded their village in Michika LGA of Adamawa state on September 7th. A distraught Matthew narrated his ordeal to The Nation. Read what he said below..
My name is Matthew Zira. I am from Vi village in Minchika Local Government Area, Adamawa State. I was living comfortably with my family until that fateful Friday. Before that day, there had been rumours that Boko Haram would attack the village, but no one knew when they would come. So on that day, as usual, I went out of the house to look for my daily bread. I ride commercial motorcycle in the village, I am also a farmer, and did the commercial motorcycle work when farm work was over. 

BH tinz: Police arrest 13yr old girl wearing explosives-packed vest in Kano [PHOTO]

This 13 year old girl (pictured above) wearing an explosives-packed vest was arrested in Kano state yesterday December 11th. The girl was arrested after she and a male accomplice walked into a clinic seeking medical treatment. Suspicious hospital staff alerted police who immediately arrested the two.

On searching her, Police discovered explosives hidden under her hijab. The police later revealed that the young girl was from Bauchi and was part of the 'suicide team' that attacked a market in Kano on Wednesday Dec. 10th.

Two bomb blast hit Jos, at least 30 people killed

Two bombs exploded yesterday evening in the city of Jos. The bombs reportedly went off at a popular roundabout on Ahmadu Bello Way, Jos. An eyewitness told BBC Africa that at least 30 people were killed. Details later
