27 year old Brazilian beauty Andressa Urach spent a month in intensive care after cosmetic gels rotted her muscles after she got surgery to enhance her butt. The model, who was 2nd runner Miss Bum Bum Brazil in 2012, said she feared she would lose her leg after the gel inserted into each of her upper thighs 'rotted' her muscles. Her wounds then got infected, causing septic shock.

She reportedly had injections of two filers, hydrogel and PMMA, to make her butt larger but a few months after the cosmetics surgery, she knew something was wrong as she became uncomfortable. The gel had to be drained from her butt. "The hydrogel was not absorbed by my body and started to harm me." she told Brazil's R7 website...

A female Senior Secondary (SS1) student of the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo was on Monday apprehended for being in possession of two grenades.

18 female soldiers may have been abducted by Boko Haram

During the recent attack by Boko Haram on Baga, in Borno, 18 female soldiers were reportedly kidnapped from the town.
According to online platform, Sahara Reporters, two military sources disclosed that only 8 out of the 26 female soldiers posted to the military base of the Multinational Joint Task Force, have been accounted for.

The Federal Government is proposing to spend  N517.9m this year on meals and refreshments for the Presidency, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, ministries of power and petroleum as well as their parastatals.

The amount is contained in the details of the 2015 budget breakdown, which was obtained by Punch correspondents in Abuja on Sunday.

Out of the N517.9m, a provision of N174.54m was made for refreshments and meals for the State House in 2015.

A non-governmental organisation, Centre for Social Justice, has dragged Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala before the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, over her alleged refusal to grant access to details of salaries and emoluments that political office holders receive from the federal budget annually.

54 Soldiers On Death Row: UN To Intervene To Avert Execution

The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Arbitrary or Summary Executions, Mr. Christof Heyns, has said that “appropriate actions, including communication to the government of President Goodluck Jonathan is being considered regarding the imminent execution of 54 soldiers in Nigeria.”

This followed a petition to Heyns by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, in December 2014 in which the group asked five UN human rights independent experts to individually and jointly use their “good offices and positions to urgently request the Nigerian government and its military authorities not to carry out the mass death sentences imposed on 54 Nigerian soldiers for what the government claimed was disobeying a direct order from their commanding officer.”
