How PDP plans to re-elect Goodluck Jonathan as President - Cairo Ojougboh

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-South region has said it plans to deliver the zone 100 per cent to President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 general election.

The National Vice-Chairman (VC) of the party in South-South, Cairo Ojougboh, stated this on Monday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. He said that the party had initiated a plan to woo members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the to vote for Jonathan in 2015. continue...




Ojougboh said that despite insecurity in the country, the president was performing well, and that the party will speak to members of the opposition party from Edo and Rivers states to support Jonathan.
“We will talk to them, we will campaign to APC members in Rivers and Edo states. We shall work extra hard by talking to our brothers in the other parties in the states to come and join this train that is heading Nigeria to the right direction.”

He added that the President needed to be re-elected for the sake of continuity and to see through the transformation agenda

“We are convinced that the transformation agenda is getting Nigeria out of the woods and that in spite of the country`s security challenges, the President is riding on.”

When asked if the party would also speak with governors of Rivers and Edo states, Rotimi Amaechi and Adams Oshiomhole respectively, the VC said; “I don’t want to reveal our strategy to our enemies.”
