Just in case you don’t know, American Boxing legend, Muhammad Ali once
visited Nigeria. The boxer, widely considered the greatest boxer and
most dramatic individual the sport has seen, visited the country in June
1964.
And not only was he in Nigeria, the 72-year old professional boxer, who won 56 of his professional fights, internalised some of the elements of the Nigerian by wearing a brown and white Yoruba Agbada as he enjoyed his visit to the country which had just become independent 4 years earlier.
