At 1,327MW generation, FG says power supply may worsen
The federal government says the epileptic power supply being faced nationwide could get worse by tomorrow May 23rd
if the strike action by the Senior and Junior staff
unions of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation persist. At a
press briefing in Abuja today, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of
Power, Ambassador Godknows Igali said prior to the strike action,
Nigeria was comfortably producing 4,800MW but this has dropped to
1,327MW due to unavailability of gas.
"As of 12noon on Friday, May 22, 2015, Utorogu, Chevron gas plants are all shut down while Ughelli and CNL Escravos are all isolated already. At the eastern axis, Shell Gas, Alakiri, has also been shut down. This has led to the several power plants being stranded and shut down. These include Egbin, Olorunshogo I and II, Omotosho I and II, Geregu I and II, Ihonvor and Sapele (NIPP) on the western axis and Alaoji on the eastern end. The overall effect is that power supply, which had started picking up steadily since the beginning of the week, following repairs of various vandalised portions of the ELP Line and the Trans-Forcados Gas Pipelines, has fallen to an all-time-unprecedented low of 1,327MW as of 1pm, Friday, May 22, 2015. This situation could get worse if the strike (action) continues.” he said

"How to Transform Your Life in 6 Minutes a Day" - ENB Living Effective
No matter where you are in life at this moment, there is at least one thing that you and I have in common: We want to improve our lives and ourselves. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with us, but as human beings we’re born with a desire to continuously grow and improve. I believe it’s within all of us. Yet most people wake up each day and life pretty much stays the same.
If success and fulfillment were measured on a scale of 1 to 10, it’s safe to say that everyone would want to live every aspect of their lives at a Level 10.
Here’s the catch: To create the Level 10 life that you ultimately want, you must first dedicate time each day to becoming a Level 10 person who is capable of creating and sustaining that level of success. continue after the cut...

"3 Things You Need For Recognizing Opportunities" - ENB Living Effective
It’s often said that success happens
when opportunity meets preparation. The beauty of life is that we all
have access to opportunities. However, only a few people have trained
themselves to recognize these opportunities, and more importantly take
advantage of them. An opportunity is defined as either a favorable or
advantageous circumstance or combination of circumstances, or a chance
for progress or advancement.
No

"Dealing with Stress" - ENB Health and Effective Lifestyle tips
It may seem that there’s nothing you can do about stress.
The bills won’t stop coming, there will never be more hours in the day, and
your career and family responsibilities will always be demanding. But you have
more control than you might think. In fact, the simple realization that you’re
in control of your life is the foundation of stress management. Managing stress
is all about taking charge: of your thoughts, emotions, schedule, and the way
you deal with problems.
Not all stress can be avoided, and
it’s not healthy to avoid a situation that needs to be addressed. You may be
surprised, however, by the number of stressors in your life that you can
eliminate.
Learn how to say “no” – Know your limits and stick to them. Whether in your personal or professional life, taking on more than you can handle is a surefire recipe for stress.
Avoid people who stress you out – If someone consistently causes stress in your life and you can’t turn the relationship around, limit the amount of time you spend with that person or end the relationship entirely. continue after the cut..

US warns Gambian President to be more tolerant of homosexuals or else face consequences
The United States has criticized Gambian President Yahya Jammeh on
Saturday for "unconscionable" remarks, after he reportedly threatened to
slit the throats of gay men in his country.
Jammeh made homosexuality illegal in Gambia and said he would slit the throats of men who wanted to marry other men in Gambia.
US National Security Advisor Susan Rice said the comments were part of an "alarming deterioration of the broader human rights situation" in Gambia. "The recent unconscionable comments by Gambian President Yahya Jammeh underscore why we must continue to seek a world in which no one lives in fear of violence or persecution because of who they are or whom they love," Rice said in a statement.
Rice said the United States is concerned about reports of broader rights violations in the country, including allegations of missing US citizens.
